Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with U.S. Cyber Command, J7 Force Development Directorate, J74 Training Capabilities Division, Office of the J7 (T12) located at Fort Meade, Maryland. Responsibilities Manages a team of 20 military and civilian personnel and approximately 100 contract staff. Ensures efficient allocation of resources to achieve organizational goals while maintaining fiscal responsibility and meeting expenditure rate targets. Responsible for leading and managing training support operations on the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) platform for cyberspace operations forces, Geographic Combatant Commands, partners, and other stakeholders. Oversees 24/7 helpdesk operations, range engineering support, content management, and mission rehearsals and exercise support across all three classification domains. Ensures the effective execution of cyber training, exercises, and mission rehearsals to support the readiness of USCYBERCOM, cyberspace operations forces, cyber national mission forces, service cyber components, and other organizations. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) operating within the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) platform for cyberspace operations forces; 2) planning, directing, organizing and exercising control over supervisory and non-supervisory employees performing cyber-related duties; 3) serving as a subject matter expert to monitor requirements and plan or develop cyberspace-related training; 4) assisting in monitoring an operational budget and contract expenditures to support mission objectives; and 5) coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and resolve programmatic and/or operational issues.
