Join our first-class team to reinvent in-flight experience. In the role of Director, IT, you'll play a pivotal part on our IT team.
The Director, IT leads, coordinates, and manages the IT & Support Factory to achieve the objectives set in terms of quality, time, cost and safety. Responsible for the Safran Cabin IT Infrastructure & Architecture as well as the Support Desk & Service worldwide. Implements major IT Transformations according to the strategy defined by the Cloud Factory and approved by CIO. Participates in and implements the "make or buy" policy. Ensures the daily link between Safran Cabin users and the IT Department and guarantees the proper maintenance of service levels with customers.
The Director, IT reports to the CIO.
Summary of Duties:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of each of the IT departments.
Responsible for the operation of production systems and carries IT department commitments in terms of worldwide service quality.
Responsible for the Safran Cabin Support / Helpdesk & Service Desk worldwide.
Manages the IT Projects carried out by the IS/IT Master Plan with the following objectives:
o Provide infrastructure adapted to the expectations of users, applications, and workstations
o Manage security and Industrial Systems
o Support the continuity of Cabin's service by offering solutions to disasters and malicious acts
o Execute the IS production plan and manage the evolutions
In charge of the Shop floor technical activities in relation with the Cabin Digital factory team and the Group.
Continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of IT department with KPI and dashboards
Manage, supervise, and oversee leads in each of the IT departments.
Manages the IT Budget (CAPEX & OPEX) and IT investments for Cabin
Supports the following external interfaces:
o IT people worldwide
o Group outsourcing managers on IT production
o Safran Services Factory

The expected salary range for this position is between $146,580 - $230,340 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.

Candidate skills & requirements
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science from a college or technical school in a related area, plus 4 years' experience; or 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Strong cloud computing experience - architecture, operations, and financial performance
Experienced with the use of MS Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) as well as web-based computer applications.
Other Skills:
Strong overall knowledge and experience in respective business systems and processes
Strong project management, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Strong IT budget experience, managing a large budget portfolio
Effective oral and written communications skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, global projects and assignments with attention to detail
Ability to work ITIL compliant methodologies and processes.
Ability to drive technical teams to deliver outstanding, professional services
Well organized, planning and time management skills, quality oriented.
Able to demonstrate proficiency in problem solving, continuous improvement, and managing projects while maintaining strict deadlines and budget adherence
Effective oral and written communications skills
