The Manager of Operations Planning will be responsible for leading a high-performance team that supports end-to-end supply chain planning and production of both components and finished goods to support new product launches. They will be responsible for maintaining relationships with contract manufacturers to drive a reliable, economical, and agile supply chain. This leadership role will be responsible for capacity analysis, risk mitigation, new vendor ramp-ups, and speed programs, as well as SAP compliance. This role will be critical in managing vendor relationships to ensure coordinated development, implementation, and measurement of programs to support supply chain strategies, which will often require on-site presence at vendor production sites.
Responsibilities:Operations and Vendor Management
Works with MP&A partners to provide Vendor forecasting, communication, and planning.
Capacity and Risk Mitigation Management
Sales and Operations Planning Management
Assists in short term and medium-term capacity planning
Vendor relationship management
On time and complete accountability
Oversee effective new launch and replenishment management
Drives speed, agility and accountability within the accountable categories.
Customer Management
Trusted advisor to Brand partners and leads translating retail sales need to supply chain.
Relationship Management not only with Brand partners, but Operations peers, internal supply chain partners, Finance, and extensive vendor base
Inventory Management
Accountable for managing component inventory turns for category.
Identify key inventory positioning as needed to support speed while maintaining inventory targets.
Provide guidance for category inventory targets.
Proactively identify component inventory risk for action. Work with Vendor base and Finance team to effectively handle category Excess and Obsolete inventory disposals at or below budget.
System Process
Ensure team is managing system (SAP) parameters to drive accurate production planning.
Manage system adherence and identify improvement needs to support business.
Coordinate real time component flow to ensure detailed planning across the supply chain.
Lead team to support book of business documentation and process as it relates to their category.
Effectively provide executive leadership summaries as needed to support central initiatives.
Talent Management & Development
Develop team of full-time direct reports; as well as contractors and interns as needed.
Manage the full life cycle of talent initiatives including the recruiting, onboarding and retention of team members with emphasis on the following:
Performance management of direct reports, responsible for providing development, coaching & feedback
Actively aim to develop and retain top talent within team.
Thought partner and implementation of Succession Planning & Talent Discussions
Qualifications
2-4 years of combined Data Analytics and Supply Chain experience
Experience in manufacturing and/or consumer goods/retail preferred
Strong understanding of Supply Chain concepts required
Supply Chain Systems Proficiency (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP experience) required
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) required
Experience with Data Visualization platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar) required
Experience with relational databases and structured query languages preferred
Ability to work autonomously, with initiative and ability to achieve results
Ability to build and cultivate effective relationships with internal and external partners
Education:
Bachelor's degree required - preference for degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics, or similar
