Job Title: General Operator

Job Description

The General Operator will be responsible for operating the carbon adsorption circuit, which includes carbon transferring, solution flow management, and reagent control, all centered around the leach pad. This role involves working collaboratively with a crew to irrigate the leach pad and conducting frequent maintenance to maintain the barren solution system and achieve process targets.

Responsibilities

Work in a safe and respectful manner at all times.

Perform proper inspections to report and mitigate all unsafe conditions or defects immediately.

Monitor, log, and control chemical inventories.

Perform all necessary plant and leach pad operations functions.

Monitor, enable, and drive peak plant performance through sampling, chemical titration, and plant operating system feedback with proper adjustments.

Operate mobile equipment safely.

Understand and act on direction from lead operators and/or supervisors.

Operate various hand and power tools such as wrenches, drills, chainsaws, and pipe fusers.

Understand solution flow and able to read pressure gauges, flowmeters, and other instruments.

Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and upset conditions.

Additional responsibilities and duties as required.

Essential Skills

Communication skills (written and verbal) in English.

Proficiency in Excel and other Office programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

1 year of experience working in an industrial environment.

Work Environment

The role involves working on rotating schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Transportation to the site is provided from the Henderson office, and employees will be transported to the work site in Searchlight. The work site can experience hot temperatures in summer and cold conditions in winter. Employees will not drive the team vehicle used for site travel.

This is a Contract position based out of Las Vegas, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
