Summary You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Plans Directorate (N5), Future Plans Division (N51), MSC Detachment, USTRANSCOM of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND. of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND. Responsibilities You will analyze strategic sealift transportation feasibility in support of global defense and humanitarian missions. You will develop and evaluate operations plans, concepts, and orders to support operations, exercises, and security cooperation activities. You will analyze planning documents to identify and report on strategic sealift transportation deficiencies and shortfalls. You will recommend courses of action to senior leaders and partner organizations to resolve strategic sealift challenges. You will serve as a principal advisor for Military Sealift Command on strategic sealift capabilities, plans, and operations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for the MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0343-13, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience analyzing strategic plans and operational requirements to assess their impact on sealift transportation capabilities. Experience developing or evaluating operational plans, mission objectives, and analytical methods to support sealift transportation operations. Experience conducting feasibility studies or analyses of complex transportation problems to recommend solutions that meet mission requirements. Experience analyzing the stowage efficiency of marine cargo, including accounting for variations in cargo @type and vessel configuration to maximize transport capacity. Experience serving as a key member of operational planning teams responsible for conducting mission analysis and developing and evaluating courses of action.
