As a Medical Billing Specialist Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Accurately input patient demographic, insurance, and billing information into electronic medical record and billing systems.

Review and validate documentation such as Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), charge tickets, and encounter forms for completeness and correctness.

Apply knowledge of medical codes to ensure accurate data entry and validation.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in patient accounts, insurance details, or claims.

Prepare billing data for claim submission while adhering to established guidelines.

Maintain compliance with healthcare privacy policies and organizational standards.

Collaborate with billing teams, clinical staff, and front office personnel to address documentation issues.

Support the optimization of billing workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

Assist in audits, reporting, and specialized data cleanup projects as needed.

Requirements

The ideal Medical Billing Specialist candidate will have:

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable.

Demonstrated proficiency in high-volume data entry with strong attention to detail.

Solid understanding of medical billing processes, insurance verification, and claims management.

Familiarity with medical coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT codes.

Experience using medical billing software and related systems.

Ability to work independently while meeting productivity and quality standards.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
