Job Summary

Develop product specifications and ensure launched products maintain high quality levels through excellent factory workmanship. Quickly react to any negatively trending product issues that may arise to drive the implementation of any corrective actions in a timely manner. Support any 3rd party inspection and testing efforts to ensure products meet design specifications as well as customer expectations. Work closely with Quality & Compliance teams in Shanghai office ensuring smooth transitions during new product development/launches.

Essential Job Functions *

Create product specifications in Salsify system utilizing input from Design and Graphics team.

Verify all product packout designs (trays, cradles, dumps, wing panels, etc.)

Develop Display Build Guides for in-house display team as well as 3PL's.

Review all 3rd party product inspection reports and respond to all noted pending items. Convey quality issues in a clear and concise manner to Product/Sales/Design teams via Power Point reporting.

Monitor and track all customer required product testing activity per compliance requirements.

Review all first article samples from factories to verify design conformity.

Conduct root-cause analysis & corrective action efforts when product workmanship issues are noted.

Manage the Norma Oficial Mexicana (NOM) Certification process for all products sold within Mexico.

Support Quality Control team as issues arise during incoming product inspections.

Manage all domestic required testing activities with 3rd party labs.

Support warehouse production teams as required to ensure builds meet spec requirements.

Generate Non-Conforming Reports as required and work with factories to drive NCR process to completion.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventative action processes.

Works well in a cross functional team environment.

Able to use scientific tools (Force Gauge, Calipers, Digital Scales, Micrometers, Color Spectrometers, etc)

Strong understanding of quality techniques.

Familiarity with ERP systems

Continual process improvement mentality

Knowledge of ISO/ANSI/EN/AATCC standards/test methods

Microsoft Office (with focus on Excel and Power Point)

Computer application Skills (Teams, Office SharePoint)

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Quality Control: Fast-paced, standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Quality Control: Medium, lifting up to 70 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs.
