As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Medical Intake in Walnut Creek, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

DayTimeTue04:45 AM - 01:15 PM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.

Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, verify identification and credentials, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with hospital personnel and/or first responders as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with awareness that working environments and conditions may vary throughout the healthcare campus.

Assist with visitor management, screening processes, and direction-giving while helping to support a professional environment and following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

Hospital vaccines are required.

Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
