Starting Base Pay: $17.00 per hour

Location: Hospital in West Columbia

Qualifications:

21+ Years of Age With A Valid SC Driver's License

1+ Years Security, Corrections Law Enforcement or Military Experience preferred

As a Security Officer - Corrections Facility Unarmed in West Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a corrections location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols play a vital role in maintaining order, while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies and/or incidents as appropriate.

Conduct regular and random patrols within the corrections facility and around its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and report any unusual conditions.

Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the facility.

Document observations, incidents, and occurrences in a clear and timely manner according to site protocols.

Respond to critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and guidelines.

Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or detainees, providing information and assistance as needed while upholding security-related standards.

Report maintenance or facility issues observed during patrols to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required
