JOB SUMMARY
Manages the design and maintenance of the property's grounds, landscaping, gardens, trees and aquatic life. Manages the activities and daily performance of the Horticulture team. Prepares and manages the departmental operating budget. Prepares Profit and Loss summaries and monthly forecasts for the department. Designs horticultural displays that are aesthetic and functional. Coordinates and schedules plant maintenance and work requests, verifying quality workmanship in a timely manner. Manages irrigation frequency and duration processes. Orders supplies, plant materials and floral materials. Assists with the installation and maintenance of all plant material within the property. Conducts garden tours as requested, answering questions and sharing information about the interior and exterior gardens in a knowledgeable manner. Maintains knowledge of trends and developments within the horticulture industry.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
5 years experience in the landscaping/grounds, horticulure or related professional area.
OR
4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related major; 3 years experience in the landscaping/grounds or related professional area.

Conducts annual performance appraisal with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures.
