Project Manager - Food

Description We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to join our team in El Segundo, California, specializing in the food and food processing industry. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will oversee critical projects related to logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who excel in managing complex processes and thrive in collaborative environments.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate inbound logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

Develop and track performance metrics to optimize efficiency and reduce costs in logistics processes.

Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and supply chain teams to maintain accurate records and streamline operations.

Build and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers and customs brokers to ensure smooth operations.

Address and resolve transportation-related issues, including delays and damages, to minimize disruptions.

Contribute to the development of logistics strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

Ensure compliance with domestic and international regulations governing logistics operations.

Monitor industry trends and regulations to adapt processes and maintain best practices.

Guide teams in adopting efficient systems and workflows to enhance productivity. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.

Proven experience in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably within the food industry.

Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on improving operations.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in logistics management software or related tools.

Familiarity with international and domestic compliance regulations in transportation and logistics. TalentMatch®
