Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York.

NY State License Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Duties:

Performs laboratory tests relevant to the section(s) in which they are assigned including quality control testing following established criteria.

In addition, performs clerical and computer related activities and phlebotomy with a degree of supervision dependent on experience and training. This individual interacts with patients of all ages.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in laboratory related area.

Licensure/Registration/Certification: ASCP preferred

Work Experience:

One year full time or equivalent hospital experience including phlebotomy.Working Conditions:

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Some occupational risk

Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
