Job Description

Join a dynamic team as an Electrical Assistant Project Manager, where you will play a crucial role in supporting project management activities in the electrical construction industry. Responsibilities

Assist with material takeoffs and orders.

Manage the purchase order system.

Review and label plans.

Support with Submittals and RFIs.

Review timecards and production numbers.

Assist with change orders and extra work orders.

Handle job scheduling.

Communicate vital information to the field.

Assess and provide alternatives for potential problems to mitigate risk.

Attend and participate in weekly construction meetings at the office.

Assist Project Managers with meeting minutes as needed.

Essential Skills

Experience in construction, specifically electrical projects.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints.

Project management and construction management skills.

Experience with scheduling and creating construction documents such as RFIs, Change Orders, and Submittals using construction management software.

Background working as a subcontractor for electrical projects.

Work Environment

This role is based in a vibrant and fast-paced office, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The work environment is characterized by a small, close-knit team with opportunities for growth. The office is equipped with modern facilities, and you will have your own desk and monitor. As part of a growing division, you will work closely with major General Contractors, contributing to the success of a well-established mechanical contractor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edison, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $48.07/hr.
