Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to support our team. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in overseeing cost accounting activities, managing inventory processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting and a passion for delivering high-quality financial insights.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the monthly close process with a focus on cost accounting, including reviewing inventory transactions and related activities.

Reconcile inventory accounts and manage inventory reserves to ensure accurate reporting.

Handle the capitalization of costs and manage accounting for purchase price variances.

Perform cost accounting tasks within the Dynamics 365 Business Central platform.

Support month-end close processes, including reconciliations and preparation of financial statements.

Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and assist in year-end audits.

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.

Analyze and reconcile accounts to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements - Proven experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management.

Strong background in cost accounting, including inventory reconciliation and purchase price variance analysis.

Proficiency in Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.

Demonstrated ability to prepare and post accurate journal entries.

Familiarity with financial statement audits and account reconciliation procedures.

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
