Summary The position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (HVAMC), Mental Health Service, Office of the Community Based Outpatient Clinic Mental Section, at the North Battlefield VA Outpatient Clinic. The purpose of the position is to manage all clinic profiles, administrative and organizational tasks, and clinic and consult operations and other things as needed. Responsibilities The incumbent serves as a point of contact regarding clinic profiles and consult management for the assigned area: Duties Included but not limited to: Provides guidance and training to staff pertaining to consults, clinic profiles, and patient encounters. Serves as an administrative point of contact regarding clinic profile management for the assigned area. Responsible for tracking encounters to completion and developing strategies and practices to efficiently manage of incomplete encounters. Captures, identify and resolve all computerized patient consult errors. Compiles and generates clinical operational data from a variety of sources and prepare reports for management. Applies policies, practices, and procedures involving the creation, maintenance, and efficiency of clinic profiles. Coordinates and collaborates with other services and departments having similar functions to maintain effective clinical operations and patient access to care. Works closely with management, clinical staff, the Group Practice Management Team (GPM), Ol&T, and other services in the clinic profile management process. Serves as a timekeeper responsible for accurate and time and attendance for assigned Time and Leave (TL) units. Reports directly to the Section Chief. Qualifications Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. Generate data related to clinic profiles. Activate, inactivate clinic profiles and Knowledge of CPRS/VISTA related to clinic profile management. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary but does require some walking, bending, stooping, standing, stretching and carrying objects such moderately heavy medical records and other paper records. Concentration and sustained performance under prolonged stress is required because of the demands placed on scheduling operations with the health care facility, patients and/or their representatives and the need to respond in a calm and efficient manner.
