Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This role involves managing key financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. As this is a long-term contract position, we seek candidates who are committed to delivering consistent excellence over time. This is a part time based role, offering 25-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly payroll with precision and timeliness.

Manage accounts payable, ensuring invoices are matched correctly and payments are processed efficiently.

Handle bank deposits and maintain accurate records for financial transactions.

Perform reconciliations to ensure accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.

Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, maintaining accurate financial documentation.

Utilize QuickBooks Online to oversee and update financial data.

Apply accrual-based accounting principles to ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.

Requirements - Proven experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Strong understanding of general ledger and journal entry preparation.

Proficiency in bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online software.

Knowledge of accrual-based accounting principles.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
