Accounting Intern

Job Descriptions:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Performing various @types of operations in a particular Accounting department as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide administrative support for the following functions:

Financial Reporting

Month end reporting process

General ledger accounting functions

Accounts Payable

Accounts Receivable

Payroll functions

Scan documents and updates as needed

Other duties may be assigned.

Required Experience:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.

Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.

Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.

Ability to adhere to workplace rules.

Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.

Basic computer skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, majoring in Finance or Accounting or another related major.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Shop floor and office environment.

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools).

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
