This is a contract opportunity, with the possibility of going permanent after 3-6 months.

Pay: $23/hr. - $26/hr.
Hours:
8:30am - 4:30pm, any 3 days during the week and 8am - 4pm on Saturdays
Responsibilities:
Enters insurance and personal payments into manual or automated accounts receivable billing system.
Reviews monthly billing statement for accuracy and prepares such for mailing.
Prepares and submits daily journals of charges and payments, with collection of payments delivered to designated individuals.
Receives payments in person and maintains starting cash funds.
Compiles, files, and maintains patient records and/or vital records, correspondence, and other reports as provided by applicable rules and regulations.
Produces copies of patient records and/or vital records and permits as requested in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
Receives inquiries in person or telephonically and responds or directs person to proper source of assistance.
Maintains knowledge of applicable rules and regulations regarding the management of patient records and/or vital records.
Performs routine clerical functions.
Receives, sort, and distribute Departmental mail and correspondence.
Prepares and transmit copies of patient records and/or vital records to appropriate agencies.
Prepares statistical reports using manual or computerized systems.
Operates standard office equipment.
Utilizing information supplied by providers, completes, and submits prior authorizations for insurances.
Utilizes computer applications.
Responds to FIOA (Freedom of Information Act) request or other official request for records.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
2 years' experience in medical billing
