Job Summary
Manages and oversees operations for the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine ( SFESOM ) Building. This role will provide a knowledgeable single point of contact for internal and external constituents. Serves as a liaison to departments responsible for laboratory and simulation center oversight within the building and to external food and beverage and common area management vendors to ensure operational success. Assumes responsibility for space and event management, mail and package delivery, procurement of building supplies, and other functions to ensure efficient building operations. Serve as key contact point person for building occupants regarding issues including facilities requests, door access, packaging pickup.

Direct/Manage/Supervise day-to-day operations for a division/business unit. Oversee all applicable functions (e.g., sales, logistics, operations, manufacturing, marketing, engineering). Responsible for managing profit and loss (P&L), developing budgets, and setting revenue goals. Establish strategies, objectives, and goals for the division/business unit, while meeting the organizational vision, standards, and priorities. Provide leadership, coaching, counseling, and career development opportunities to staff. May also oversee operations for a single independent site.

Responsibilities
Role Specific:
Develops and implements policies and procedures pertaining to SFESOM Building operations and customer services.
Interfaces with departments and vendors to market and promote special events, food and beverage services, and simulation center/lab opportunities to internal and external customers.
Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing complaints, concerns, and suggestions and providing appropriate follow through.
Provides strategic direction by setting short and long-term goals, estimating budgetary requirements for events staff, space and equipment planning, and implementing special projects and policies.
Provides guidance to and supervises events management staff to ensure the successful execution of events, including oversight of contract negotiations, adequacy of resources, AV and technological needs, events analysis, budget recap, and customer feedback; assists staff with direct management of events as needed; manages invoicing and billing procedures for events.
Coordinates building maintenance and repairs with Facilities Management that affect normal building operation.
Develops and implements facility safety and emergency training/protocols.
Serves as a liaison between the Dean's Office and Facilities Management, Campus Police (onsite security), and other *service vendors; oversees building access requests, room scheduling, mail and delivery services, and directory management.
Designs and maintains SFESOM Building webpage to facilitate room scheduling, facilities ticketing, building events/catering services, parking information, etc.

Broad knowledge of the field with demonstrated leadership skills.
Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
This is a Manager-Level position in the Management track.
