Clinical Administrative Assistant

At Richmond Community Services, we are committed to providing compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a highly organized and dedicated Clinical Administrative Assistant to support our nursing team and help ensure the seamless coordination of medical care. In this role, your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities will directly contribute to the health, safety, and quality of life of the people we serve.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate external medical appointments for individuals residing in our community-based programs

Prepare, track, and maintain medical consent documentation

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including lab results and hospital visit documentation

Arrange transportation for medical appointments and secure Medicaid prior authorizations as needed

Provide administrative support through data entry, documentation, and communication with healthcare providers

Conduct routine audits of medical charts to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance

Manage shared calendars and communicate appointment schedules

Qualifications & Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; coursework or training in business or administrative support preferred

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare setting strongly preferred

Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Ability to handle confidential information and maintain HIPAA compliance

Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week

Non-exempt position in accordance with FLSA standards
