Job Description

CONTRACTOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Contractor's personnel are the designated MSA scheduler/receptionist responsible for the performance and coordination of appointment scheduling in accordance with the VHA Directive 1230, Outpatient Scheduling and Process and Procedures. Contractor to provide Medical Support Assistants for a total of 166,400 hours (per year) or 80 FTEs. Location for number of FTE is subject to change based on the needs of the Service. The hours requested in the CLIN represent the total hours allowable under this contract. Contractor shall only be paid for the actual hours ordered and/or worked under this contract.

Contractor personnel shall obtain security clearance. Estimated time to complete. Week 1, obtain application information and forms to submit to Personnel Security Adjudication Center (PSAC); 2-3 weeks (respectively) to receive adjudication which is required to issue a PIV.

All staff are able to work remotely. Travel is not authorized for this contract.

Position Overview

Contractor personnel will serve as Medical Support Assistants (MSAs) responsible for appointment scheduling and reception duties in compliance with VHA Directive 1230: Outpatient Scheduling Process and Procedures .

The contractor will provide 80 FTEs , equal to 166,400 hours per year .

FTE distribution by location may change based on service needs. Contractors are compensated only for hours actually ordered and/or worked.

Key Responsibilities

Perform appointment scheduling and related administrative duties.

Ensure adherence to VA scheduling policies, procedures, and performance metrics.

Maintain high-quality control and coordinated workflow.

Utilize VA systems, including VistA and CPRS (Computerized Patient Record System) - VA network access required.
