What You Will Do :

The Eligibility Representative - Hospital Onsite will screen patients for possible financial assistance programs to assist with hospital financial responsibilities. Perform any and all related job duties as assigned.

This position is classified as full time, Monday through Friday onsite at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, South Carolina. Eight hour shift between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET.

Patient Eligibility Screening

Client Relations

Duties and Responsibilities

Screen patients for possible financial assistance programs.

Assist patients with the completion of applications.

Follow up with patients and agencies to ensure eligibility for date(s) of service.

Manage a group of accounts on a daily in accordance to standard operating procedure.

Update patient account status in hospital and Guidehouse systems.

Work closely with hospital employees and third party agencies.

Participate in hospital meeting as deemed necessary.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Communicates daily with coworkers, hospital and management in regard to account progress and or issues.

Client Responsibility:

Act as liaison between the patient, the client and outside eligibility agencies to ensure favorable outcomes.

What You Will Need :

High School Diploma / GED or 3 years of Relevant Equivalent Experience in Lieu of Diploma / GED.

6 months - 2+ year's experience in office, business, operations, customer service or healthcare field.
