Robert Half client is seeking an HR Coordinator to join the team on a 3-6 month contract basis in Pittsburg, California. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting various HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, and employee engagement. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with the HR Director and contribute to critical projects while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.

HR Coordinator Responsibilities:

Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary legal forms and documentation are completed.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and HR records, both digitally and physically.

Address employee inquiries and provide timely responses to requests.

Ensure job descriptions are current and reflect the responsibilities of each position.

Assist with benefits administration, including employee enrollments, terminations, and changes.

Manage COBRA processing for employees exiting the organization.

Process employee change forms, personnel actions, and verification of employment requests.

Provide support to the HR Director on special projects and initiatives.

Update shared HR drives with the latest policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Offer guidance to employees and leaders on HR policies and procedures.

Requirements - Proven experience in onboarding and HR administration.

Familiarity with HRIS systems and digital file management.

Strong knowledge of HR compliance and employee relations.

Ability to assist with employee benefit plans and COBRA processing.

Excellent organizational skills for maintaining personnel files and records.

Strong communication skills to handle employee inquiries effectively.

Prior experience in supporting HR projects and initiatives.
