Department Overview The Physical Therapy department evaluates and treats children with a range of diagnoses . For example, gross motor development delay, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down syndrome, and orthopaedic injuries. They work in conjunction with other interdisciplinary clinics like the Down syndrome. clinic. They assist and train children and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment to promote independence. Position Summary Responsible for the evaluation and provision of physical therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including provider orders; provides patient/family/caregivers, staff, and student training; provide a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment; manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, provider, and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the positions' duties are performed within Children's MN Standards of Behavior. This inpatient position is based in Minneapolis and may float to other hospital campuses as patient census requires. Bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy program. Minnesota state licensure. Temporary Minnesota state licensure accepted if accompanied by proof of passing physical therapy board examination. BLS certification. Pediatric experience preferred. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee's scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the U.S. Government Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
