CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN/TRAINER JOB DESCRIPTION Overview: Buckeye Ridge Habitat for Humanity, Inc. is a multi-county affiliate, operates a ReStore, and undertakes construction projects including new, rehab, recycle, and home preservation. As such, a position is needed that will facilitate and manage construction projects with direction from the program director for the affiliate. Mission: Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Reports to: Program Director Job Summary: The Construction Foreman facilitates all construction projects including planning through completion while following the mission of Habitat for Humanity in accordance with the direction, policies, and objectives set by the affiliate Board and Program Director and Executive Director. Time Requirements: Full time hourly position (40 hours per week). Must be available for weekend hours. Paid vacation, sick leave, personals days, holidays, 401K. (90 day probationary period) Qualifications: Experience in construction and construction management which can be applied in affordable, sustainable residential housing. Ability to lead and motivate skilled and unskilled volunteers, BRHFH partner families, and sub-contractors on and off the jobsite. Existing relationships with local construction professionals preferred. Understanding of hands on construction practices and willingness to get hands dirty to move projects forward when necessary. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required. Understanding of basic building codes and ability to meet code, grant, and energy star requirements. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds. Valid Ohio Driver's License. Responsibilities and Duties: Construction management and supervision in all counties of BRHFH (Marion, Morrow, Wyandot and Hardin) in new construction, home preservation, critical home repair, rehabilitation, and weatherization programs a. Design and maintain schedules, critical paths, and budgets for each construction project b. Obtain competitive bids, donated materials and professional donated labor c. Supervise subcontractors, volunteers, partner family volunteers, and other labor on the job sites d. Meet permitting, code, and other grant specific requirements and inspections (CHIP, USDA, etc.) e. Complete projects to BRHFH standards, budgets, and schedules 2.Develop efficient, effective, and practical building systems to be implemented by affiliate volunteers and subcontractors 3.Develop and implement safety programs for construction, hold OSHA Competent Person designation & RRP lead training Facilitate the development of construction policies and materials for internal use, approve any construction related educational and/or promotional materials to be distributed to volunteers, partner families, sub-contractors, or the general public

Facilitate Construction Committees and Core Construction Volunteer development in all counties in coordination with other staff

Facilitate homeowner training for new partner families in coordination with other staff

Supervise maintenance of affiliate owned property including lots under construction and any future properties to be obtained by the affiliate. Assist with maintenance/projects in ReStore.

Supervise maintenance and inventories of all tools and vehicles used in construction

Supervise "deconstruction" projects and removal of resalable items to BRHFH Marion ReStore to support affiliate fiscal sustainability

Supervise building materials on all job sites and appropriately recycle to the BRHFH Marion ReStore

Provide monthly construction update reports for Executive Director, Program Director, Board of Directors and county steering/community relations committees
