Description We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team in Palm Coast, Florida. This is a long-term contract opportunity designed for an experienced individual with strong attention to detail, eager to contribute their expertise in financial operations and reporting. The ideal candidate will excel in managing month-end close processes, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and execute month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly documented.

Prepare and post journal entries to support financial accuracy and compliance.

Perform detailed account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between internal records and external statements.

Manage accounts receivable (AR) processes, leveraging accounts receivable systems to streamline operations.

Handle accounts payable (AP) tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Utilize Paylocity and other financial tools to enhance efficiency in accounting procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial audits and compliance requirements.

Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to management. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Strong proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

Demonstrated expertise in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

Familiarity with bank reconciliations and financial statement accuracy.

Knowledge of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) systems and processes.

Experience working with Paylocity or similar accounting software.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
