Job Summary: LFS is seeking a self-driven team player with the ability to build strong, long-term customer relationships in the commercial, industrial and wholesale community by providing exceptional sales and customer service experience.
Essential Functions:
Engage with regular and prospective commercial, industrial, and wholesale customers to solicit orders.
Talk with customers on sales floor or by phone. Cold calls and occasional travel to customer locations are a component of the position.
Has product knowledge and industry knowledge in plumbing, electrical, hardware and other industrial lines.
Manage emails and incoming calls from customers.
Estimate date of delivery to customer and arranges pick up or delivery options.
Use point of sale and inventory control programs to facilitate sales.
Manage and grow customer relationships.
Investigate and resolve customer problems.
Suggest new products to purchasing team.
Sources non-stock items and works with purchasing team to bring in special order items.
Monitor stock levels on key products and makes min/max suggestions for replenishment.
Attend sales training put on by vendor representatives.
Minimum Requirements
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)
Industry knowledge in one or more of the categories.
Three years sales experience.
Preferred education and experience
Associate degree (AA) from two-year college or university; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment:
Retail Sales, Warehouse, Offices The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel and talk or hear, to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to twenty pounds. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-40 pounds.
