About the Role...
The Finance Manager - Commercial is responsible for partnering with Sales & Trade Planning, Category Management, Marketing, and FP&A to drive profitable growth. You will provide key business and financial leadership in support of Beech-Nut's Commercial Team by providing collaborative solutions, identifying trends, and developing new ideas and opportunities. This position requires an individual that can innovate, create, and operate as an entrepreneur. You will undertake pressure testing and validating all inputs into the commercial P&L and be the financial voice in pricing, promotional spend, and customer strategies. You will build guardrails, elevate insights, and help the business make data-driven decisions. You will align cross-functional partners and ensure we have reliable, timely visibility into where the business is headed. You will help build the processes, tools, and discipline that enable predictable performance and proactive decision-making.
This role ensures that our investments in trade, pricing, distribution, A&P, and innovation translate into incremental volume and healthy margins. You will build customer P&Ls, lead monthly financial reviews, and improve forecast accuracy.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role with direct influence on revenue, profitability, planning, and strategy.
About the Team...
The Finance Team is responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of the organization. The team covers everything from financial reporting and strategy to paying the farmers who are bringing us the very best fruits and vegetables. The team works closely with various internal teams to advise on financial decisions so we can continue doing what we do best - making high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers!
About the Work Environment...
The position is remote/hybrid based out of the Amsterdam, N.Y. production facility. Our facility was just built in 2010 and is the world's first LEED® certified baby food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be located in the Tri-state area (NY/NJ/CT).
What You'll Do...
Perform detailed financial analysis including advanced financial modeling, return on investment, and monitoring business issues to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for cross-functional and executive team
Build, maintain, and improve customer P&L's and performance scorecards. Build dashboards and reporting for trade, customer margin, price/volume mix, and forecast accuracy
Own channel and customer level profitability; parter with Sales to deliver revenue and margin targets by understanding distribution, trade efficiencies, and cost to serve customers.
Build, maintain, and improve platform P&L's. Partner with Marketing to understand product velocities, price pack strategies, elasticity insights, and how they will impact forecasts.
Analyze and develop recommendations for improving Advertising and Promotional spend based on ROI and key KPI's.
Build, maintain, and improve Innovation P&L's. Partner with cross-functional business partners on understanding the profitability and feasibility of new projects and innovation.
Lead monthly business reviews with Sales and Finance, highlighting performance drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
Participate in the annual planning process, mid-year forecasts, and short-term outlooks.
Partner with E-Commerce partners on sales drivers, advertising spend, ROAS, and their impact on sales forecasts and profitability
Partner with cross-functional parters to align sales forecast and support the S&OP process.
Analytically communicate results based on comparison to plan and prior year, analysis, and interpretation of financial and non-financial information.
Interpret changes in the commercial environment and develop the resulting financial impact.
Develop proactive and collaborative solutions for commercial challenges and maximization of opportunities.
Focus on improving and acting on information for decision making within a fast-paced environment.
Develop a deep and intuitive understanding of the business, and what drives success through inquisitive and open dialogue with others.
Participate in the accounting close process which may include account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting matters.
Other responsibilities include audit support, reporting support, presentation preparation, and ad-hoc requests.

What You'll Need...
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Engineering (with experience in FP&A) or a related field
8+ years in financial analysis roles; experience in consumer product goods is preferred
Experience with SAP and Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI, Planful Analytics software, or other analysis tools
Ability to work with a reasonable amount of uncertainty and provide best estimates with confidence
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail and the ability to translate data into decision making
Ability to understand and define issues, collect, and analyze data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
Ability to collaborate across functions as a business partner and service provider
Excellent communication skills and ability be able to retrieve information from a variety of sources
An entrepreneurial spirit - be willing to learn and work with Finance counterparts to strengthen financial performance

Pay: The annual base salary range for this remote/hybrid role is $120,000 - $145,000. This is a salaried-exempt position.
