Our client is seeking FP&A Analyst to join their team.

FP&A Analyst

San Francisco CA -Onsite 1 week per month, rest will be remote.

Contract

Objective of Role:

Be a member of the team in performing financial planning and analysis activities on time to meet the agreed SLAs.

Main Accountabilities:

General Responsibilities:

Analyse the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, and profit margin. Monitor KPIs and identify the cause of any unexpected variances. Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts. Prior exposure to month-end reporting, variance analysis & spend analysis is a strong plus. Support the management team and the Finance Business Partner teams with data-driven analysis. Prior experience in Foreign Exchange (FX), Insurance, Balance Sheet management, and Cash Flow analysis will be considered an added advantage. Proficiency in reporting tools viz., Tableau, Power BI, Oracle, and Hyperion is an added advantage.

Reporting Responsibilities :

Assist the team lead in preparing the reporting dashboards with Key metrics. Assist team in producing analysis to improve the business. Assist team lead in data collation and analysis as required by the client.

Minimum Requirements :

Graduate in Commerce, Business, or Accounting with a strong knowledge of FP&A functions. Having 5 or more years of experience at a reputable company with experience in financial planning and analysis, such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, reporting, etc. Stakeholder management with good communication skills. Strong working knowledge of Oracle and Interpretation of financial statements. Knowledge of Accounting principles, US GAAP, and corporate and strategic planning. Strong understanding of the latest Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Self-learner willing to work in different time zones.

Preferred Background:

Experience in dealing with international clients would be an added advantage. It would be advantageous to have a relevant industry background. Proficiency in Google Sheets would be an added advantage. Good quantitative and analytical skills.
