Core Responsibilities:
We're seeking a strategic, execution-focused Chief of Staff to drive initiatives for the Product Acceleration team and partner with the broader product leadership team. This role is pivotal in running the Product Operating Office: shaping operating rhythms, driving cross-functional initiatives, accelerating delivery quality, and scaling the product organization's impact. You will act as a force multiplier-turning strategy into action, streamlining decision-making, and ensuring our teams operate with clarity, speed, and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Product Operating Model and Governance
Design and evolve the product operating model, including portfolio planning, quarterly/PI cadences, OKRs, decision rights, and governance forums to increase delivery speed and quality.
Establish and run leadership routines (staff meetings, QBRs, monthly business reviews) with clear inputs/outputs, action tracking, and follow-through.
Drive continuous improvement across product practices (discovery, prioritization, hypothesis testing, measurement, and retrospectives).
Strategy Execution and Prioritization
Translate strategy into actionable, sequenced portfolios, ensuring resource alignment, dependency management, and risk mitigation across product, design, engineering, data, risk, and operations.
Own the product acceleration roadmap and initiative backlog; drive alignment and trade-offs across teams to optimize impact and time-to-value.
Lead cross-cutting initiatives (e.g., platform migrations, standards adoption, tooling upgrades, product analytics enablement) from scoping to outcomes.
Business and Portfolio Performance
Define and maintain a product performance framework: OKRs, KPIs, and value realization across customer, commercial, operational, and risk metrics.
Partner with Finance/Strategy on portfolio investments, budgeting cycles, and business cases; support scenario planning and benefits tracking.
Create executive-ready insights and materials (C-suite/board level), including portfolio health, delivery readiness, and outcome narratives.
Leadership Enablement and Communications
Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Head of Product Acceleration and product leadership team; prepare agendas, synthesize decisions, and ensure follow-through.
Drive internal communications for the product organization: priorities, wins, changes, and calls to action-tailored for execs and teams.
Coach leaders and PMs on product craft, operating mechanisms, and stakeholder management where helpful.
Organizational Health and Ways of Working
Establish standards for product excellence (discovery methods, experimentation, research integration, backlog hygiene, roadmapping, product analytics).
Improve cross-functional collaboration and reduce friction between product, engineering, design, GTM, operations, and control partners.
Support talent planning, onboarding, and capability development for product managers and related roles.
Qualifications
10+ years in product management, product operations, strategy, consulting, or program leadership in digital product organizations; 3-5 years in roles driving cross-functional execution and/or PMOs at scale.
Demonstrated experience scaling product operating models (OKRs, quarterly planning, portfolio governance) and delivering measurable outcomes across multiple teams.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect customer insights, product strategies, and financial outcomes; experience with product analytics and instrumentation is a plus.
Exceptional communication and executive presence; proven ability to create concise executive materials and lead senior-level forums.
Skilled in prioritization, structured problem-solving, and change management; comfortable with ambiguity and @context switching.
Proficiency with modern product toolchains (e.g., Jira/ADO, product analytics tools, FigJam/Miro, OKR platforms) and collaboration tools.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
