About this position:
serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the Sabine River Authority Board of Commissioners and directs performance of all administrative functions for the Sabine River Authority, which includes the Sabine River Authority Headquarters, the LA Engineers Office, Diversion Canal Office, and five Recreational Park Sites located on the Toledo Bend Reservoir. The Sabine River Authority is an independent agency of the State of Louisiana created by LRSR.S.38:2321, et seq. The statutes that created the authority grant broad sweeping power by stating "no other statute or legislative act shall be construed to apply to the carrying out of the powers herein granted unless expressly so made applicable",hence, the agency is subject to only a small section of the Public Bid Law.SRA is totally independent of the Secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development.
Minimum Qualifications
Eight years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus four years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As an Administrative Program Director 3 , you'll serve as one of four positi ons to the Executive Director and Deputy Director as part of the Executive staff and are responsible for high-level administrative functions.
Evaluates employee performance and counsels employees in problem areas . Initiates disciplinary action as deemed necessary for subordinate employees.
Approves leave and prepares performance evaluations, and conducts planning sessions with all subordinate employees .
Selects, trains, and assigns staff, identifies staff development needs, and directs staff training .
Conducts staff meetings and conferences to discuss operating problems , organization, budgetary matters, personnel matters, technical problems, and status of programs and projects.
Develop long-term capital outlay needs, and make recommendations to the Executive Director and Board of Commissioners
Monitors and approves the purchase, recording, tagging, and tracking of items by location in an automated system. confers with Executive Director and Executive staff regarding any inventory audit discrepancies

Work Schedule:Work hours are Monday -Thursday 6:30am-5:00 pm
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
