Job Description
Turner & Townsend is supporting a large-scale battery manufacturing facility currently mid-construction and entering advanced commissioning stages. We are seeking a highly specialized Electrical Project Manager to take dedicated ownership of Low-Voltage / Life-Safety Systems (LLS) and Building Management Systems (BMS) from installation through commissioning and turnover.
The successful candidate will be deeply experienced in controls, systems integration, and late-stage commissioning execution on complex industrial or manufacturing projects.
Responsibilities:
LLS - Low-Voltage / Life-Safety Systems
Lead delivery of low-voltage systems including:
Fire alarm and life-safety interfaces
Access control and security systems
Electrified door hardware and related integrations
Coordinate interfaces between LLS and:
Fire alarm shutdowns
HVAC and smoke control systems
Security and IT platforms
Manage device naming conventions, labeling, documentation, and as-built accuracy
Drive resolution of deficiencies identified during testing and commissioning
BMS / BAS (Controls & Integration)
Serve as primary PM for Building Management System (BMS/BAS) scope
Coordinate directly with BMS controls vendors (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, JCI, or equivalent)
Oversee:
Point-to-point checkout and validation
Sequence of operations testing
Alarms, trends, graphics, and dashboards
Manage interfaces between BMS and:
Mechanical equipment
Electrical and power monitoring systems
Fire life-safety systems
Lead issue tracking and closure through commissioning phases
Commissioning & Turnover (Late-Stage Focus)
Support Commissioning Level 3 and beyond
Coordinate closely with commissioning agents, TAB vendors, and trade partners
Maintain and manage:
Systems completion trackers
Open issue / deficiency logs
Commissioning readiness status
Drive timely closeout of:
O&M manuals
Training documentation
Final testing and acceptance documentation
Project Controls & Stakeholder Coordination
Manage subcontractor performance, schedule adherence, and deliverables
Lead coordination meetings focused on system readiness and integration issues
Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
Communicate status, issues, and recovery plans clearly to project leadership
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in electrical project management on industrial or manufacturing facilities
Direct ownership experience of:
BMS / BAS controls and integration
Low-voltage / life-safety systems
Proven experience supporting testing, commissioning, and system turnover
Ability to manage vendors, troubleshoot integration issues, and drive closeout under schedule pressure
Strong understanding of control systems workflows, commissioning processes, and systems documentation
Preferred Experience:
Battery manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or other high-tech industrial facilities
Experience stepping into projects mid-construction or late-stage
Prior work on projects valued $500M+ Familiarity with commissioning platforms (e.g., CxAlloy) and construction management systems
