Job Description:
We are searching for the best talent to join our team as a Senior Director, E2E Supply Chain Planning, Vision Care to be located in Jacksonville, FL.
Purpose:
The Senior Director will direct a global team across multiple regions/sites, and is accountable for the execution, and driving 'best-in-class' capabilities, in IBP (Integrated Business Planning), inventory management, supply and production planning for the J&J Vision, Vision Care business.
This role is fully accountable for all planning metrics, reports and processes. The role provides management oversight for, and operates at, the most senior level of Vision Care and drives the decision making to meet the company's goals in areas of cash flow (inventory management) and customer service, ensuring there is an optimal balance between demand and supply across the Vision Care end-to-end supply chain. Responsible for developing teams and leaders to drive next level capabilities, improve supply chain effectiveness, drive performance, through process excellence, digital solutions, coaching and, benchmark leveraging.
Responsibilities:
Champions the development of leadership and planning capabilities across the supply chain planning organization aligned with CREDO behaviors and leadership imperatives.
Governs the Vision Care IBP process and reviews with the appropriate Management Boards.
Drive service/ inventory performance across the end-to-end supply chains with direct accountability for planning and product flows from suppliers, to manufacturing facilities through delivery of product. Develops and leads internal / external supply strategies aligned with customer / business goals resulting in cash value improvements through end-to-end scenario planning, optimization processes, and modelling. Utilizes process excellence / six sigma tools to drive continuous improvement of supply chain processes.
Champion supply reliability and agility journey for the sites, direct the integrated supply chain capacity, inventory, segmentation strategies and set / govern inventory policies.
Interface between and escalation point for Board level commercial, finance and supply chain partners - supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and business analysis.
Collaborates with multi-functional teams to incorporate new product launch plans.
Accountable for strategic capacity and inventory planning. Supports development of the strategic plan and business planning cycle.
Other Duties:
Develops and governs IBP policies, standards, guidelines, technology, and procedures.
Responsible for maintaining senior leader engagement in the IBP process to ensure that decisions are taken within the process.
Responsible for driving business decisions on tradeoffs including customer service and finance.
Uses financial (revenue and unit level) supply chain plans to drive alignment between business functions at senior levels.
Initiates maturity assessments and leads improvement efforts to increase IBP maturity.
Responsible for influencing large-scale global and regional teams to collect, analyze, consolidate, and report supply chain data, aiming to; improve customer service, optimize Inventory Levels, deliver cost improvements.
Work with the NPI groups to understand future requirements and help the plants work towards the necessary capabilities.
Partners with procurement to drive supplier performance improvements including quality and on-time delivery and building strategic alliances with key suppliers.
Ensures reviews occur with key suppliers on a regular basis, the supply plans and performance of each of them, define improvement projects and work towards seamless integration.
Develops and governs supply planning policies, standards, guidelines, technology, and procedures. Leads phase-out of end-of-life products.
Responds to escalations and ensures cross functional support to meet unforeseen demand and supply issues.
Qualifications / Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
15+ years of relevant experience
Advanced understanding of end-to-end supply chain, preferably in Medical Device Industry with advanced financial understanding.
Identifying new partnership opportunities, determining optimal relationship conditions / model (licensing, co-promotion, acquisition), and executing these relationships.
Articulating a vision, engaging, and mobilizing employees around that vision, and delivering superior value.
Ability to drive and apply continuous process improvement tools and improvements to large and complex projects.
Ability to drive innovation, prioritize and collaborate in a heavily matrixed environment.
Strong business acumen. Understanding the business; portfolio, markets, customers, challenges, and demands.
Proven talent development champion.
Experience in medical device, healthcare, or pharmaceutical companies is preferred.
APICS or IBF certification preferred.
A professional certification in PMP, Agile / Scrum, Lean and / or Six Sigma and demonstrated relevant experience in large scale projects/programs will be advantageous.
Demonstrated collaboration with Regulatory and/or Quality to meet customer expectations.
