Description

We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, GA. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in managing project accounting processes and ensuring financial accuracy across various business lines. This position offers a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Responsibilities:

Set up projects by interpreting contracts accurately and creating job records and structures in Oracle Cloud.

Input initial budgets and pricing while ensuring compliance with established rate structures and margin targets.

Track financial performance by monitoring project budgets, analyzing cost trends, and preparing detailed reports.

Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.

Collaborate effectively with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Project Managers, Billing, and Legal teams to address billing issues and invoice corrections.

Assist with change orders and maintain documentation flow to support project adjustments.

Generate ad hoc reports on labor costs, margin health, and other financial metrics.

Provide support for teams transitioning to Oracle Cloud by addressing data cleanup, reconciliations, and identifying process improvements.

Cross-train team members as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements - Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

Knowledge of accounting entries and full-cycle accounting principles.

Experience in handling billing processes and resolving discrepancies.

Ability to interpret contracts and set up projects accurately in accounting systems.

Proficiency in Oracle Cloud or similar enterprise systems is preferred.

Strong analytical skills for tracking budgets, cost trends, and financial performance.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple departments.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
