Title: Project Accountant

The Project Accountant will assist with monitoring project financials, maintaining budget information, preparing updates, and helping ensure project records remain accurate throughout the lifecycle of assigned work. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external partners to support cost-related processes, contribute to planning efforts, and help maintain alignment between project activities and financial expectations.

Responsibilities

Support project teams with financial tracking, budgeting, and general cost-related activities

Assist with preparing financial updates, forecasts, and reviews of spending trends

Help maintain project documentation and ensure financial records remain accurate

Contribute to variance reviews and analysis as needed

Participate in routine coordination activities with internal teams and external partners

Assist with work order processes and related project financial workflows

Support the development of basic performance indicators and reporting

Help address routine project or financial inquiries and support issue resolution

Contribute to maintaining alignment between project schedules, activities, and financial expectations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience OR Associate degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience

Prior experience in business, construction management, project management, or related fields is helpful

Experience with project environments, financial processes, or utility operations is beneficial

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively

Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Johnstown, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.50/hr.
