Our trusted client is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting and Finance Consultant to join our team for a long-term engagement. In this leadership role, you will oversee critical financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and seeking to make a significant impact within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

Manage all aspects of the general ledger and month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Supervise the preparation and review of reconciliations, ensuring compliance with established policies and standards.

Oversee audit readiness, addressing issues proactively and implementing sustainable solutions.

Strengthen internal controls by identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective remediation strategies.

Collaborate with the CFO to develop and execute strategic financial plans.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards that require attention to detail.

Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Analyze financial data to support decision-making and drive organizational goals.

Address complex accounting issues, ensuring resolution aligns with best practices.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

Proven experience in accounting leadership roles, with a strong understanding of financial operations.

Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial statement audits.

Familiarity with BlackLine software for accounting automation and reconciliations.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex financial challenges.

Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to manage and guide teams effectively.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
