Primary Purpose

Adjunct Faculty members for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies deliver curriculum content for the MPAS degree on an as need basis.

Essential Job Functions

Deliver curriculum content for courses within the Physician Assistant curriculum including, but not limited to: Lectures, small group facilitation, hands-on skills workshops, panel presentations.

Participate in scoring assessment-related activities including, but not limited to: Clinical skills in a simulated scenario. Course-related assignments.

Mentor students in a variety of skills, including but not limited to: Research projects. Remediation of knowledge or clinical skills.

Other duties as assigned supporting the mission of the program and the university.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Current expertise in one or more curriculum content areas of the MPAS degree.

Minimum Qualifications

Advanced and/or clinical degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in delivering curriculum content to health professions students.

Recent clinical experience.

Experience with teaching methods beyond traditional lecture methods (examples, team-based learning facilitation, flipped classroom, cased based simulation).
