Summary You will serve as a AIRFIELD SPECIALIST in the AIR OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL AIR STATION LEMOORE. Responsibilities You will conduct daily airfield inspections to ensure the airfield is safe to conduct operations. You will manage the Air Operations Desk to include dispatch functions, schedule coordination, and operational communications. You will assist in coordinating airfield construction projects (e.g., pavement repairs, airfield lighting fixture replacements, etc) to ensure operations conform to established safety practices and procedures. You will schedule and conduct Airfield Vehicle Operator Course (AVOC) class to include maintaining rosters, grading tests, and printing licenses. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) conducting routine inspections of facilities, equipment, work areas, or operational spaces to ensure safety, compliance, and readiness; 2) identifying unsafe conductions, coordinating corrective actions, and making recommendations to suspend or restrict operations until risk are mitigated; 3) coordinating construction, maintenance, repair, or improvement activities that affect operational continuity; 3) coordinating daily airfield construction and maintenance projects; and 4) providing training, maintaining records, evaluating results, and issuing certifications, permits, or other credentials as required.
