The Administrative Assistant 1 will perform office support and clerical work for the Office of Academic Affairs - Empire Online

In order to maintain a welcoming environment for prospective students, students, community members, and visiting university staff, the duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

Conduct course setup checks to ensure readiness and accuracy

Provide support for TDX ticket triage and resolution

Support digital accessibility requests

Administrative processing including travel requests and data entry

Monitor and manage departmental inboxes and calendars

Provide excellent customer service, including telephone, e-mail or in person inquiries

Provides building coverage for receptionist in the shared rotation

Actively participate in university activities

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have permanent appointment in an Administrative Assistant 1 New York State classified position (or be eligible for transfer) or be reachable for appointment on the current NY State Civil Service eligible list for Administrative Assistant 1.

For Administrative Assistant Trainee 1 or 2: one year of permanent service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law.

NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (NY HELPS):

Administrative Assistant 1, (Salary Grade 11) NO Traineeship / no coursework requirements:

Two years of experience in administrative support, which includes use of office software (e.g., email, word processing), provision of customer service, business writing, and/or office administration.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 5:00pm

Work Address: 1 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY

Additional Information:

Salary: SG-11 $47,695 - $58,447
