My client is seeking a Staff Accountant to be focused on the accounting for mission-based projects. You'll have an opportunity to work on diverse accounting functions and contribute to building the financial foundation of a rapidly expanding organization.

Prepare and maintain accounting reports to support the month-end financial close, including the compilation of accurate financial statements.

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring smooth workflows and optimal cash flow management.

Prepare and monitor month-end accruals to ensure accurate revenue recognition that aligns with associated expenses.

Track and analyze recurring revenue while maintaining profitability reports by project.

Oversee the purchase order process and handle the setup of vendors and clients within NetSuite or other accounting systems.

Process invoices for timely payment and maintain meticulous financial records for compliance and documentation.

Recommend data-driven solutions for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and process streamlining to improve efficiency.

Collaborate on preparations for external audits and produce necessary documentation for financial institutions.

Regularly review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and accounting standards.

Assist with administrative tasks and provide critical support to other finance functions.

Contribute to ad hoc projects and perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance team.

Salary between $80-90K based on experience (potential for more based on experience) + bonus based on company performance + full suite of benefits.

Requirements

2+ years of strong hands-on accounting experience, with a solid understanding debits and credits and how the financials tie together.

Proficiency in NetSuite is required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts to various stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Demonstrated experience in handling sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.

A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-growth environment.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and process improvement.
