Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join their team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the accounting and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Range: Contingent on Experience

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4PM

What's the Job?

Assist the accounting department in processing accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.

Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain electronic records.

Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and vendor statements.

Assist in preparing basic financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.

Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation, including filing, scanning, and organizing financial documents.

What's Needed?

High school diploma or equivalent.

Some college coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

1-3 years of experience in an accounting or clerical role.

Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
