We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a long-term contract position that requires exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. The role involves managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining vendor relationships. Responsibilities:

Manage the complete accounts payable cycle, including obtaining approvals, coding transactions, entering billing details, and ensuring all necessary documentation is attached.

Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents, verifying pricing accuracy and requesting amendments when necessary.

Process weekly supplier payments, including checks and credit card transactions, ensuring timely payments.

Handle recurring monthly accounts payable tasks, enter credit memos, identify opportunities for discounts, and issue stop-payment orders as required.

Record and reconcile credit card activity, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.

Set up new vendors, complete credit applications, obtain W-9 forms, and maintain organized vendor files.

Review and research supplier statements, addressing any issues and communicating effectively to resolve discrepancies.

Document procedures for all assigned responsibilities to ensure consistency and compliance.

Perform other related tasks as assigned to support the department and organizational goals.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills to maintain high-quality work.

Ability to handle confidential information and maintain meticulous records.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a detail-oriented and courteous approach.

Strong analytical abilities and basic problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and improve processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and willingness to learn accounting software systems.

2+ years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable processing.
