Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine. In this role, your goal will be to help identify the medical issue through your scans. Come be a part of a great team that will allow you to advance your skills each day.

A caregiver in this position works Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.

Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.

Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.

Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.

Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.

Maintain documentation.

Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.

Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients and process billing.

Provide instruction and mentoring to new hires and Radiology students.

Potentially rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities, sites and/or locations.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing

Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:

Standing and walking for extended periods of time

Lifting or assisting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $26.00

Maximum hourly: $40.50

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
