The Embassy Santa Clara is hiring a part-time dishwasher. If you have prior dishwashing experience, are available in the morning, and are interested in working for the Best Place to Work, this could be the position for you!

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am - 11am.

Wage: $19.70/hr

A dishwasher is responsible for transporting and cleaning cooking utensils and service ware in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Great attitude and teamwork spirit.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Be able to work independently and maintain a steady work flow

Be able to handle a fast-paced environment at times due to high business demand

Minimum of 1 year working experience

Previous dishwashing experience of 6 months preferred, but willing to train

Prior hotel dishwashing/stewarding experience a plus!

What will I be doing?

As a dishwasher, you would be responsible for transporting and cleaning cooking utensils and service ware in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Wash dishes and operate the dishwasher to clean all chinaware, silverware and cooking utensils.

Scrub pots and pans.

Burnish, de-tarnish and polish silver.

Stock and maintain supplies and equipment.

Perform cleaning duties, including but not limited to, mopping and removing trash.

Transport and store clean service ware.

Train other stewards, as needed.

Prepare and place clean service ware for events and functions.

Receiving of supplies and placing them in the refrigerator and/or dry goods area
