Nucor Buildings Group, a leader in the design and manufacture of custom-engineered metal building systems, is seeking a motivatedDistrict Sales Manager (DSM) for the Missouri and Southern Illinois territory. See a territory map HERE.As aDistrict Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our market share by developing profitable, life-long relationships with builders and customers, shaping the construction landscape in your assigned territory.

Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Manage the development of Builders, Accounts and National Account opportunities.

Implement effective Builder recruitment and execute cancellations of non-performing Builders.

Responsible for Marketing Nucor Building Systems products in the assigned district.

Establish annual sales plans for the assigned territory to achieve goals set with the Regional Sales Manager.

Establish plans with each Builder to improve market presence inclusive of NBS penetration, quality of in-place products, and public image.

Promote attendance of Builders to all training opportunities, NBS functions, and utilization of NBS marketing programs.

Work with the Regional Sales Manager to develop personalized training for self-improvement.

Create Best Mark opportunities to improve product quality, service functions and enhance builder relations.

The candidate must be able to drive and travel extensively when required

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

Must live in, or be willing to relocate to, the assigned territory.

3-5 years of territory sales experience with the ability to manage customer relationships.

35 years of constructionindustry experience (pre-engineered metal buildings /engineered building products or related fields)

Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

3 years of experience working directly with Builders or channel partners in the construction industry.

Prior experience in the metal building industry or graduate of the NBG DDSM program.

Familiarity with PEMB (pre-engineered metal buildings) is a strong plus but not required.
