Our vision is to conduct our operations in a manner that inspires public confidence in government by administering and enforcing tax, child support and municipal finance laws in ways that are innovative, customer-focused, and transparent Bureau/Division Overview The mission of the Department of Revenue's Child Support Services Division is to enhance the well-being of children by partnering with parents and caregivers to meet the financial needs of the family. Effective child support services are an essential part of the larger effort by the Commonwealth and the federal government to promote families' economic self-sufficiency. DOR/CSS's core functions are to establish parentage, and establish, enforce and modify child support and health insurance orders. Much of our success depends on collaborations with a wide variety of state agencies and private entities. Position Summary The intern will be providing customer service support and general administrative support, primarily to the case management andRegional Support Team(RST) teams. Core Responsibilities Customer Service Support Assisting members of the general public with basic case inquiries via phone, email, or in-person Directing customers to appropriate resources and staff members Providing information about case status and next steps in the child support process Administrative Support Performing routine administrative tasks including copying, mailing, and assembling document packets Organizing and maintaining case files and documentation Case Management Team Collaboration Working directly with the Case Management Team on day-to-day office operations Assisting with case file preparation and organization Regional Support Team (RST) Assistance Providing administrative support to the Regional Support Team Assisting with special projects as assigned Project Exposure and Learning Opportunities - throughout the internship, the intern will have opportunities to: Learn about child support enforcement procedures and legal frameworks Gain exposure to multi-team coordination in a government agency setting Attend team meetings and training sessions to understand agency operations Work on special projects that may include statistical tracking, customer service enhancements, and field office operations Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with remote work technology Customer Service experience Ability to handle confidential information First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.
