Entry-Level MIG Welder

Job Description

We are looking for an entry-level MIG Welder who is eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for graduates of welding programs or individuals with basic hands-on MIG welding experience-especially with aluminum. You'll work alongside a supportive team and receive guidance while developing your welding abilities.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding in horizontal and vertical positions

(materials include approx. 90% aluminum, with some steel and stainless steel).

Work with material thicknesses ranging from 18-gauge to 3/8 inch.

Use common aluminum wires such as 4043 and 5356.

Perform basic weld inspections to ensure quality.

Follow blueprints/weld symbols with support from coworkers and supervisors who have been there for awhile

Collaborate with a team of 4-5 welders on each shift.

Required Skills

6+ months of MIG welding experience

(school training, certification programs, or hands-on experience all qualify).

Ability to read basic weld blueprints and symbols.

Comfortable working with aluminum or interested in learning aluminum MIG welding.

Familiarity with standard hand tools used for grinding and welding prep.

Preferred but Not Required

1-3 years of welding experience in any setting.

TIG welding exposure is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

You'll work at a large, well-organized manufacturing facility with a dedicated welding area and all equipment provided (bring your own helmet). This is production-style work building access doors, floor doors, and similar fabricated products. The facility is non-smoking and located in East Brooklyn Park, serving a long-tenured and highly supportive fabrication team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MINNEAPOLIS, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.55 - $23.55/hr.
