Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Delray Beach, Florida. This role focuses on ensuring accurate and efficient handling of invoices, payments, and account coding processes. Ideal candidates will bring a strong command of QuickBooks Online and demonstrate proficiency in managing full-cycle accounts payable operations.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper account coding and compliance with company policies.

Manage payment transactions, including ACH transfers and check runs, with attention to detail.

Utilize QuickBooks Online to execute accounts payable functions with efficiency and accuracy.

Collaborate with team members in different office locations to ensure seamless AP operations.

Maintain organized records of financial transactions and support audits as needed.

Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies effectively.

Monitor accounts payable aging reports and prioritize payments accordingly.

Implement best practices to streamline AP processes and improve operational efficiency.

Reconcile monthly accounts payable reports to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Assist with additional accounting tasks as required to support the department. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, including full-cycle AP processes.

Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential.

Familiarity with account coding, invoice processing, and payment methods such as ACH and check runs.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Effective problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and vendor issues.

Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
