Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for managing essential accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and detail-focused environment where precision and teamwork are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

Process daily invoices with accuracy and efficiency, handling 20-30 entries per day.

Prepare and deposit checks while ensuring proper documentation.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable operations to maintain smooth financial workflows.

Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Collaborate with the team to resolve discrepancies and support account reconciliation processes.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all financial tasks.

Provide timely and clear communication regarding financial matters to team members and stakeholders.

Assist in maintaining organized financial records for easy access and audit purposes. Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience is preferred.

Proficiency in QuickBooks is required; experience with QuickBooks Enterprise is a strong advantage.

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with formulas and data organization.

Solid experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

Prior knowledge and experience working with general ledger systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear interactions.

Strong attention to detail and exceptional accuracy in data entry.

Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
