In this role, you will be responsible for managing, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment used in utility operations. This position requires a high level of accuracy in maintaining inventory records, operating warehouse equipment, and preparing and staging materials for field crews. Strong communication and customer services skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or GED;
Minimum of six (6) months of warehousing or related experience;
Class A Florida CDL or completion within 6 months to 1 year of hire;
Forklift Certification required within 60 days of employment;
Warehousing, electrical, mechanical and instrumentation background, preferred;
Customer service skills,

Salary Range: Starting at $24.984 per hour (Estimated $51,966.00 annually) with a structured step progression system and performance-based pay increases every 6 months up to $30.031 per hour (Estimated $62,464.48 annually).

Job Purpose:
Under direct supervision, perform all basic warehouse functions including issue, receive, pickup/deliver materials; cycle counting, work rotating shifts, call-out, cross train and support customer needs.
Primary Functions:
Assist on daily safety checks of all logistics equipment, i.e., trucks, forklifts, aisle stackers, etc., before operating;
Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse;
Train and learn to Issue materials into the OUC (EnterpriseOne) computer system and Barcode Scanner;
Mark and/or label materials with identifying information;
Assist in the delivery of materials to operating crews;
Assist in keeping free bins stocked to proper levels;
Assist in the pick-up / delivery of material from OUC suppliers;
Use OUC equipment for storage and retrieval of materials when accompanied by a senior Warehouse Associate;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Requirements:
Ability to:
Be adaptable and flexible in evolving work environments;
Learn and apply safe work practices;
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written;
Make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages;
Use Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.)
Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED;
Minimum of six (6) months of warehousing or related experience;
Class A Florida CDL or completion within 6 months to 1 year of hire;
Forklift Certification required within 60 days of employment;
Warehousing, electrical, mechanical and instrumentation background, preferred;
Customer service skills, preferred;
Valid Driver's license.
Working Conditions:
This job will frequently be exposed to insects. This job will very frequently be exposed to extreme weather. This job may occasionally be exposed to chemicals, heights, confined areas, and excessive noise. This job will rarely will be exposed to noxious fumes. Incumbents must be willing to work extended hours when required including weekends, nights, holidays, and during storms. Incumbents must be willing to work between Pershing, Gardenia, St. Cloud and Stanton Energy Center locations.
Physical Requirements:
This job will consist of constant standing, walking, speaking, hearing, and detailed inspection. This job will very frequently consist of lifting 0-20 lbs., 21-40 lbs., typing/CRT (Attention to Detail), and writing.
This job will frequently consist of lifting 50 + lbs., bending/stooping, pushing, pulling, and/or digging, reaching over head, kneeling, crawling, climbing (ladders, stairs, hills). This job will occasionally consist of sitting.
This job will very frequently monitor or operate a heavy truck, fork lift, pallet jack, and bridge crane.
